This little gem is very precious to me, because I painted this one 'en plein air' (outside). I've just recently begun stretching my wings to paint outdoors from life versus in the studio, and it is very exciting! I will confess that I am much more comfortable painting while no one is watching, and so this event was a little intimidating for me:) This painting is a view of the Neuse River which runs through eastern NC, and I did this while participating in Kinston's 5th Annual Plein Air Paint Out. Met some fabulous folks, saw great artwork, and got to paint with wonderfully talented artists. Rock on, plein air painters!
